KWR WATER, the Dutch research institute for the drinking water sector and one of the 14 partners of the Fiware4Water project, is organising a series of 4 webinars to highlight the benefits of digital water. Their second webinar, held on 23 September focused on Fiware4Water and the digital water future, and demonstrated the potential of the Fiware ecosystem for water utilities and also small and medium entreprises.
A clear overview of digitalisation in the water sector - starts at 6’40Lydia Vamvakeridou-Lyroudia, Senior Scientific Researcher & Programme Director Watershare in KWR explained with simple words what digitalization, integration, interoperability mean for the water sector, and why is it so important today, linking it with EU strategy, development of smart cities and the digital transition that started in other sectors such as the energy sector. And then narrowing it down to explain what the Fiware4Water project is.
